Product Description

Plum Slate Chippings (20mm & 40mm) – Rich Colour and Contemporary Elegance

Transform your landscape with the distinctive beauty of our Plum Slate Chippings, available in both 20mm and 40mm sizes. Characterised by their striking blend of plum, burgundy, purple, and subtle grey tones, these premium slate chippings offer a sophisticated alternative to traditional decorative aggregates, bringing warmth, texture, and visual interest to any outdoor setting.

The 20mm grade is perfect for garden borders, planting areas, pathways, and decorative ground cover, creating a refined and polished appearance. The 40mm grade provides a bolder, more architectural finish, making it an excellent choice for feature areas, rockeries, water features, and larger landscape designs where greater texture and impact are desired.

One of the most appealing characteristics of Plum Slate is the way its colours deepen and become more vibrant when wet, revealing rich tones that beautifully complement greenery, ornamental grasses, and flowering plants. This natural variation creates a dynamic landscape feature that remains attractive throughout the year.

In addition to its decorative appeal, Plum Slate is a practical landscaping material. It helps suppress weed growth, retain soil moisture, improve drainage, and minimise maintenance requirements, making it a durable and cost-effective choice for both residential and commercial projects.

Whether you're creating a contemporary outdoor retreat, adding contrast to planting schemes, or introducing a premium finishing touch to a landscape project, Plum Slate Chippings deliver enduring style and natural elegance.

You will receive an email confirming your order has been received when you have completed checkout. We will then process your order and allocate a delivery day, at which time a second email will be sent to you confirming your Delivery Method and date. The delivery method ‘hiab/crane’ or ‘van’ – along with the relevant vehicle dimensions and restrictions will be contained in this email, therefore it is essential that you read it carefully to ensure you receive your order successfully.

Delivery Methods

  • The majority of our deliveries are made via a ‘hiab’/crane vehicle.
  • It is preferable for someone to be available to accept the delivery. However, we are still able to deliver if nobody is present. The delivery driver will determine the most appropriate positioning for your goods. With unattended deliveries, Raycox Turf LTD cannot accept any liability for theft, product deterioration or consequences arising from the positioning of your delivery.
  • We undertake to place the goods as close to your property as is deemed safe by the driver.
  • In order to maximise delivery efficiencies, where possible multiple goods may delivered as a single pallet consignment.
  • For any delivery requested to be made off the hard roadway you will be asked by the driver to sign and indemnity confirmation.

Failed deliveries

Where deliveries cannot be made due to insufficient access to the delivery address or difficulties on the approach to the address, an unsuitable offloading area, obstructions, or where incorrect/insufficient instructions have been provided, a charge of £30 (plus. VAT) per pallet will be made for redelivery or return of the items to Raycox Turf.

If redelivery is requested, fees must be paid prior to an order being released for redelivery; if the order is returned to Raycox Turf, the £30 charge per pallet will be deducted from any outstanding refund due.

Due to the perishable nature of turf, where delivery cannot be made successfully we will be unable to refund the amount paid for the turf.
